Captain Henry Guffald is on a mission to retrieve his best friend from a Spanish Pirate. He has things in his past that have left him determined NOT to fail and to prove himself to his superiors. His past has left a defiant bad taste in his mouth where pirates are concerned. However, pride, arrogance, distrust and blinding determination on both their parts-leads to total chaos, shacklings, humiliations, ruination, escapes and scuttling a fabulous ship. There is an underlying attraction between them that eventually blooms and they stop fighting each other and work together.
I enjoyed the interactions Adele has with her brothers and they had me chuckling and grinning. The voyage to their HEA was interesting and the secondary characters were wonderful. One person found this helpful. Like meets like, and oh my, do the sparks fly! If ever two people were made for each other, it's Henry and Adele.
In this second installment of the Nelson's Tea series, the story begun in Duke By Day, Rogue By Night continues, a bit wild and crazy, but a lot of fun. It's swashbuckling to the max as our hero and heroine set out independently on a desperate mission to rescue the same person, but manage - sometimes comically, sometimes exasperatingly - to get in each other's way.rstthornton.com/1470.php

Yet there is much more to the story than the outward adventure, which is enhanced by the author's ability to delve deep into the psyches of her characters and show what makes them tick. I look forward to the next book in the series, The Rogue's Surrender. A wonderfully told pirate adventure. Adele is a young wilful daughter to an Earl. She is impulsive and passionate. These qualities make for some dramatic adventures and riveting reading. Adele sets off to save her brother Garrick and doesn't count on Captain Henry Guffald's experience determination and devastatingly handsome person.
I enjoyed the sparring and chemistry between Henry and Adele and their deep love for each other. Garrick's rescue was thrilling. A great read overall. Another great adventure from Katherine Bone. She creates strong characters and gives them a great adventure with mystery and suspense all in a well written story. Captain Henry Guffald must redeem himself after his last failure if he is to remain part of Nelson's Tea.

To do so he must rescue a fellow member in Spain. The two captains will clash, in more ways than one, sword fights and mayhem will ensue!! This book is wonderful, you won't be able to put it down! I am so thrilled to discover this author and her wonderful style in writing pirate stories. Worst part about reading books when they first come out is waiting for another!
I loved the push and pull of the main characters.
From the Author!
The only thing insight care for was Adeles naivety considering the things she was doing, but overall a great read! From the moment the sword-wielding Adele strutted across the deck of Henry's ship, I was lost. A feisty, intelligent troublemaker, Adele darn near drives the poor captain insane with her antics. The pages sizzle as these two misfits find solace and peace, at last, in each other's arms.
Woven with historical tidbits, danger, intrigue, and romance designed to make you sigh, this story is sure to be a favorite of any historical romance lover. First and foremost, isn't the guy on the cover at least supposed to be blonde? The story was enthralling although it had WAY more typos than the first book. There seems to be something that I noticed on more than one occasion while reading the Captain's books. She is actually one of the few authors who uses the greater to lesser urgency syntax though not always but it might throw some readers off. I have read the first, and now, i will contonue to look forward to the rest of the Nelson's Tead's adventure.

Jackson never fails to amaze me with her cleverly written and well thoughtout plotlines and intrigues. Loved all three stories. Despite connecting characters and setting, each book can be enjoyed fully without having read any of the series before as all have their own happy ever after and uniquely developed intrigues and backstories separate to each book.
Of Sin and Sanctuary A great read in this absorbing series. I experienced a rollercoaster of emotion whilst reading it though. It was good to know more about Theo and Violet, having met them briefly in the first book. Their relationship did not go smoothly and they had a number of trials to experience. Then just as everything is going along sweetly an evil villain pops up to create mayhem.
This is a book that is difficult to put down. I hope we read of Cassandra's story in the next book. Of Risk and Redemption Loved this book! It caught my interest from the first page. The action takes place in England and and America. I did find the description of the mining town very interesting and quite graphic. There are a number of secrets in this story that are gradually revealed. Some with devastating consequences.
This is a fast paced story that will keep you entertained. I received a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own. To Capture a Rogue This was an intriguing story and so interesting to read about the story of one of the guards at the gambling hall. I loved the story of Jared and Nicolina, there were a number of misunderstandings that led to their separation.
Nicolina is skilled in the use of blades, thanks to her guardian uncle and this comes into play during the story.
A very enjoyable story with some tender moments as well as menace. Most helpful customer reviews on Amazon. I have never been disappointed with technology spent in K. The men are strong and the women worthy. This boxed set by K. All of the works are great reads. In my opinion, the author has a way of painting pictures with her words and generating an emotional tie with her characters and their stories. Of Sin and Sanctuary Two lead characters, both tortured souls, who somehow find a way to triumph over all they had experienced. This story was an emotional rollercoaster.
Of Risk and Redemption Two strong main characters who have each had their share of problems to surmount. Both have secrets to hide. Unusual for a Regency romance, this one takes place in both England and America. Several characters featured in previous works make appearances in this one. To Capture a Rogue This is an emotionally gripping tale of two souls, who obviously love one another, but need to put aside the fears each one has, and share unanswered questions with one another. There is plenty of suspense and villains, as well as secondary characters who appeared in previous works.
What a wonderful collection of books from the Revelry's Tempest Series! I enjoyed each of these stories on their own but love them together. Wonderful, intense, heartwarming are but a few. This is a story of Theodore Williston, fourteenth Earl of Alton and Violet, Lady Vandestile, widow, who when they knew each other several years ago were simply Theo and Vee. Sweethearts when young, Theo's only desire was to marry Vee, but that hope was crushed because at the time he was only the third son and had no hope of a title.
Theo left to join the war and Violet married Lord Vandestile as her uncle wished. Many years later they meet up again as two broken souls who are determined to keep to themselves. But fate has a different direction for them both. As all of K J Jackson's books, you are drawn into the emotions of Theo and Violet and feel part of the story unfolding. I loved all the characters and hope that some will appear with their own tale soon. Spanning two continents, this is a journey of life's hardships and disappointments that slowly turn into hope and love. Cass, Lady Desmond, allows herself only to focus on her work as the proprietress of a gaming hall, the Revelry's Tempest.
Having lived through heartache a couple of times, she relies upon the only constant in her life, work. Rorrick Trowlson, an american comes to England to settle his dead brother's estate, but also wants to find answers. He confronts Cass and wants the land back his brother lost at the Tempest, that was part of the estate. Having deep regret not long past, Cass needs to go to America to right a wrong that has been on her conscious for several years. Seeing Rorrick as a means to that end, she strikes a bargain with him to take her there in exchange for the land.
What follows is a wonderful story of finding the truth, dealing with past heartache and righting some wrongs. But also dealing with the mistrust that had built up with Cass and finding a way to trust her heart as sparks fly between her and Rorrick on their journey. This book is part of a series, although it can be read alone and I think this is my favorite. I love everything this author writes but I truly felt my heart engaged in this story. Do yourself a favor and don't miss it! To Capture a Rouge - What can I say about this novella? First word that comes to mind. Truly I have loved everything that has been written by this author and this was no exception.
Nicolina Callison was heartsick. Her husband Gareth, had died in the war over a year ago, but she would never stop grieving, such was her intense love. Imagine though, one day she sees him in the flesh walking into a gambling hall seeming all in one piece? Rage overtook her, which was really hurt and disbelief that he was alive and had basically abandoned her and their marriage.
There were such intense emotions in this story that you could feel the grief and love that they both had for each other.

They were fated to come back together, but it was a journey with a lot of suspense and unanswered questions finally coming to light. This kept me on the edge of my seat and engaged me in their story. I am really looking forward to the stories of the other secondary characters, especially Logan. As you can see as I read every story I said they were a must read. Trust me, they are!! I read these separately, but they were all fantastic stories.
Much better than what is coming out from every body who ever wanted to be a writer.
