It started a bit slowly and there were a lot of characters to sort out. Perhaps this was my bad for starting the book rather late one night. I got into it about a third of the way through and certainly was surprised by the ending. I look forward to reading more in this series. May 07, Jackie rated it it was amazing. Another amazing mystery story by an author who doesn't know how to stop writing fantastic. John Jordan is one character that I hope the books keep going on about.

Lots adding character John Jordan is amazing alternating between his prison chaplin image and his investigator persona. No clues as to what the ending will be but well worth reading through to find out. Dec 03, Roberta Sallee rated it it was ok. I can usually pick up characters in the middle of a series and enjoy the story, but it wasn't the case this time. The mystery got solved and the wrongly jailed man was released. Too many characters with too much baggage and connections I wasn't clear on made following the story hard for me.
If I read another book in this series, I will make sure it is number 1, not number 14! May 14, LANell rated it it was amazing. Reading this book was like welcoming an old friend. Surprise ending When I read the first page, I thought, "Oh here is another leftist getting in his digs at the president. The main story was side tracked a lot.

From high school on, Qwon loses his young adult years. He spends them incarcerated, not because he should have, just because. But, there IS justice. Nov 23, Rebecca Hawkins rated it it was amazing. Excellent First book I've read on this series, so some things weren't clear, but did not take away from this great book. Suspense until the very last page.

Semi incest and intrigue Well written book ended drama with an appetizer for the next instalment. The main character is an endearing mix of a soothing sole and a driven but flawed determinist. All makes for a good page turning read.
