No Other Love (No Other, book 3) by Shannon Drake

I felt this was a perfect end to the Montford Heirs trilogy! After reading this book, I recall that I had read it a few years ago and certain parts of it I remembered, though I liked it just as well this round as I had then, for how can you go wrong with a highwayman? In regards to love lost, then returned, as well as a dash of mystery, this is a great story and when the main villian through it all finally gets his comeuppance in the end, you truly feel that all's well that ends well: May 08, Jennifer M. Smith rated it it was amazing Shelves: Jul 06, Mercedes rated it really liked it.

Nicola fell in love with Gil Martin, the stable boy but Richard Exmoor put an end to that when Gil fell to his death or so Nicola believed for the past ten years. On her way to visit her sister Deborah who ended up marrying the despicable Richard, Nicola was held up by a highwayman known as the "Gentleman". Such a great novel of twist and turns with some laughs. Read to find out more. This is the third in the Montford heirs or Lost lords? It loops the loop so I'm guessing this is the last. It reads well - it took me longer to read than usual because I left it behind while off on a trip.

The book got damp at some point so although it's perfectly legible, the pages are rather warped.

Character development is good. It was nice to follow the characters in the twists and turns through the three books. This story has plot elements from both The Princess Bride and The Notebook so if you liked either of those you might also like this. A nice historical romance although it sometimes refers to events that happened in previous books in a confusing way. Jul 27, Hpitcher rated it liked it Shelves: Inverosimile e scontato nei colpi di scena e nelle coincidenze. Forzato e senza senso,in una parola brutto. Credo che la mia esperienza con questa autrice si esaurisca qui.

Jan 16, Seema rated it liked it Shelves: The third in a series.. Nov 04, Pam rated it really liked it. This one is the boy who was raised by a tavern girl. He grows to be a highwayman and is in the storys of the other 2 girls. I liked these books.

Jan 20, Diana Senn rated it really liked it Recommends it for: Interesting story, girl is mistaken for the mistress of an estate by a highwayman, but there are secrets on both sides. There is a lot of thrills and high level intrigue. Mar 24, Kiki Joseph added it. Nov 11, Stasha rated it liked it Shelves: Okay, it's been awhile since I've had the lady of the manor go after the stableboy in a bodice ripper. But, he was worth it. May 21, Usagi Tsukino rated it did not like it Shelves: I liked it a bit more than the previous two books.

Feb 02, Jody rated it really liked it Shelves: Really good finish to the series, even if it is getting slightly predictable. Love that it left no loose ends. No Other Love (1950 song)

The hero is kind, supportive, understanding, handsome. The heroine is as difficult and nasty toward him as possible. She demeans the hero, flirts with other men, constantly complains, and puts herself in jeopardy by disobeying his orders. When the hero wants to have sex, she te Ended up skimming to finish. When the hero wants to have sex, she tells him to stop, while at the same time pulling him closer and egging him on. This is dangerously close to supporting the myth that encourages date rape: I cannot believe people write this stuff without any thought to the moral issues involved.

The reason for the heroine's nastiness toward the heroine is that she sees how wonderful he is and is afraid of falling in love with him. There is no explanation as to why this would be a bad thing - surely, if one is stuck with a husband, it is a good thing to be in love with him, considering he is good and kind and prepared to love her in return? I dislike romances where the whole conflict is driven by the unreasonable behaviour of the heroine who just wants to be awkward without any rational motive to drive her behaviour. May 07, Julie Hoffpauir rated it it was amazing.

This was a great ending for the series Loved the story and the characters were awesome together.

It was full of everything I look for in a bookhumor, love and great heat between the characters. Jul 17, Sandra Dagg rated it it was amazing.
